Tina Hobley


Tina Hobley is an experienced actress, best known for her role as feisty Ward Sister, Chrissie Williams, which Tina played for 12 years in the award winning BBC medical drama, Holby City until 2013.

Tina graduated from the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in 1995. Since then, she has performed a wide range of theatrical roles, including production tours of the Middle East and Asia. She has also starred in a number of television dramas, including a two year stint from 1996 in Coronation Street as Samantha Failsworth, and as WPC Melanie Rush in Harbour Lights in 1998.

In 2014, Tina’s own show, ‘Smooth Sundays with Tina Hobley’ was announced at Smooth FM, the UK’s fourth largest commercial radio network. In the same year, Tina was a contestant on Celebrity MasterChef.

Tina made a return to acting in January 2015, starring in the stage production of crime author Peter James’ most popular book to date, “Dead Simple”. Touring the UK at 23 national theatres, the 7 month run was widely well received.

In 2017 Tina Hobley became the brand-new host of the Smooth Drive Home in London. Tina will help listeners ease into their evenings from 4pm to 7pm by playing the ‘Relaxing Music Mix’. Her new weekday show will be in addition to her Smooth Sunday programme from 10am to 2pm.

Tina lives in London with her husband Oliver Wheeler and 3 children.
