Nick Ede is a highly regarded, multi-award winning philanthropist, media and communications campaigner and TV expert.
Over his career, Nick has been named Scottish Communicator of the year, Fashion Philanthropist of the year and the highly-coveted London Lifestyle Award for London Personality of the Year 2013. In 2015, he was honoured by Victoria Beckham and Eva Longoria at the Global Gift Gala in London with another award for Philanthropist of the year.
Nick has over 10 years of TV experience during which he has held the position as celebrity correspondent for the hit Canadian entertainment show, E! Talk Daily and head judge on the 3rd Season of Project Catwalk for Sky One. The shows have provided Nick with international appeal in the US, Europe and Canada. Furthermore, his role as Fashion Editor on OK! TV on Channel Five presenting the weekly strand ‘EEEK or CHIC!’ has made him a household name in the UK.
He is currently filming ‘Britain’s Most Eligible’ for W and has most recently been on our screens mentoring the singer Sophie Ellis Bextor about social media engagement for W and What Britain Earns on Channel Four.
He has also made appearances in Trinny and Susannah Undressed, How to be Famous, Oscars 2008 – 2012, National Television Awards 2007 – 2010, Pete’s Pa on Living, Secret Life of Celebrities for Five, Celebrities Exposed for ITV2 and Celebrity Punch Ups for E4. Moreover, his keen interest in food has led seen him present food strands and gourmet guides for shows including Taste on Sky One and led to his victory on Celebrity ready Cook.
In 2017 alone Nick has helped to raise over £1 million for good causes by organizing six star studded charity galas and launched two major charity rebrands.
Nick has been instrumental in promoting charities including The Stroke Association, BBC Children in Need, Blue Cross, WE Day, TEXT SANTA, Free the Children, Arts For India, The Sheba Foundation,the Diana Awards, Jeans for Genes, Eva Longoria Foundation, MTV Staying Alive and the Pink Ribbon Foundation to name but a few.
In 2015, Ede launched EastofEden London a stand-alone PR agency specialising in charity campaigns. The Agency represents clients including BBC Children In Need, The Diana Awards, Free The Children, Serious Fun Camps, Rwanga, British Asian Trust, Small Steps, WornByUs, Shine Foundation and MTV Staying Alive.
Nick is the founder of Style For Stroke which is fast becoming one of the most recognised charity initiatives. He has worked with his numerous celebrity friends and retailers to create a fashion concept that helps educate people on the impact of stroke. The campaign has seen support from names including Mel B, Kelly Osbourne, Brooklyn Beckham and Nicole Scherzinger.
Nick is based in East London with his husband Andrew Naylor.
