Laura Woods, 32, is one of the leading female broadcasters in the sports industry and the host of TalkSport’s Breakfast show, one of the most listened to shows in the UK.
Initially joining Sky Sports in 2009 as a runner, Laura worked her way up the broadcast ladder and is now also a prominent mainstay on Sky Sports football coverage. Her versatile broadcasting skills have led her to regularly present Sky’s flagship Super Sunday, covering multiple live Premier League fixtures, as well as tackling the hottest issues in The Debate and travelling around the country for their Carabao Cup coverage.
Laura’s natural talent and unphased nature have led to her secure exclusive interviews with some of the biggest names in global football on a weekly basis. Her impressive list of interviewees include Paul Pogba, Virgil van Dijk, David Beckham, Pep Guardiola, Frank Lampard, Jurgen Klopp and Harry Kane to name but a few.
In addition to her work on Sky Sports, Laura has also proved herself as an adept and reliable panelist and presenter on talkSPORT’s breakfast show. In 2020 Laura was announced as talkSPORT’s lead presenter on their brand new flagship Sports Breakfast show, from 6am – 10am Monday to Wednesday.
Laura also boasts an enviable portfolio of live and corporate work, working with brands such as Barclays, Adidas and Nike, as well as hosting The Times Sportswoman of the Year Awards, London Football Awards, and events for several Premier League Football Clubs.
In January 2020 Laura was announced as the newest columnist for online platform Sporting Life, delivering her unique insight and views on the game throughout the season in her fortnightly column.
Outside of football Laura also hosts Sky Sports darts coverage and has a keen interest in English literature, which she has studied to degree level.
