Jamie Redknapp is a former professional footballer, Sky Sports Pundit and columnist.
Jamie quickly became one of the most popular and talented footballers of his generation after beginning his career at A.F.C. Bournemouth under his father, manager Harry Redknapp in 1989. Jamie moved on to play for Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton in a fast-paced athletic career. A technically skillful and creative midfielder, Redknapp was capped for the England team 17 times and played a big part in England’s Euro 1996 campaign. In 2005 Redknapp retired from professional football.
Jamie then forged a highly successful career in the media. Well known for his impeccable dress sense and love of suits Jamie became the face of the Marks & Spencer Signature range in 2006 and the ambassador of the World Cup Budweiser campaign. In 2010 Jamie became the main face for M&S Menswear boosting sales by 450% in two weeks, the successful fashion partnership continued into 2012. In 2016 Jamie became face of men’s retailer Burton.

In 2013 Jamie was announced as the face of Beko’s FA Cup Activity and in 2014 Jamie was unveiled as the face of Avon UK’s bestselling male fragrances Elite Gentleman and Elite Gentleman Untailored, appearing across brochures and the online shop, continuing the partnership into 2017. Jamie also worked with Nivea Men on a hugely successful social media campaign titled Redknapp’s Grass Roots Round Up.
Later that year, Jamie made a TV appearance on ITV1’s The Jonathan Ross Show alongside Yoko Ono and Vin Diesel. Jamie also worked on a number of advertising campaigns such as Thomas Cook and Nintendo Wii, with 2014 seeing a partnership for PANDORA Jewellery’s #PANDORAwishes Christmas campaign, which created a huge rise of 35% in sales.

Football will always be at the heart of Jamie’s career. Having joined Sky Sports in 2005, he continues to act as one of their principle pundits, passing on his extensive knowledge of the game to millions of viewers. In 2013, Jamie was announced as the presenter of Saturday Night Football on Sky Sports alongside David Jones, which continues to air. In 2015 Jamie worked with Budweiser on their dream goal campaign to find the nation’s best goal scorers alongside Gary Neville and Ed Chamberlain. It was Budweiser’s most successful UK advert of all time.
Jamie also writes a weekly column for the Daily Mail and is the face of Skybet. Jamie is also a Team Captain, alongside Freddie Flintoff, Jack Whitehall and host James Corden on the BAFTA winning sports panel show A League of Their Own which is looking towards its 14th series on Sky1. Alongside this a three part American road trip of the hugely popular show aired in early 2016 and another road trip is planned for 2018.
In early 2016, Jamie worked with Walkers in the launch of their new Tear ‘n’ Share crisps TV campaign, starring in their advert alongside fellow football pundits Gary Lineker and Alan Hansen. Jamie was later announced as the ambassador for the Braun Father’s Day campaign, as the brand released a study revealing a need for British youngsters to show dads the love.
More recently, Jamie has continued to be involved TV projects including A League of Their Own which is returning for a 14th series and a Euro Rally in early 2019, regularly appearing as a pundit for Sky Sports Football. He has also worked on several successful commerical campaigns with the likes of Burton, Cadbury’s, Sky and Skybet. He also worked on a campaign with MacDonald’s where Jamie, Paddy McGuinness and Peter Crouch piled into a fans’ house to watch the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
