Sir James ‘Jimmy’ Anderson is a Professional Cricketer and Broadcaster.
Sir James Anderson is England Cricket’s highest ever wicket taker and arguably the best swing bowler of all time. Retiring from England in 2024, with 704 wickets, he now plays for Lancashire and The Hundred’s Manchester Originals.
In recognition of his services, in 2025, Jimmy received his knighthood for services to cricket.
In addition to his playing career, Jimmy co-hosts the acclaimed BBC Sounds podcast, Tailenders. Since 2023, Jimmy and the Tailenders team have been on a UK Tour, selling out countless venues.
He is currently working as a broadcaster for TNT, fronting much of their 2025/6 Ashes coverage, and has worked regularly with BBC, BBC 5live and Sky.
Jimmy has worked as an ambassador for many household brands, such as Wellman, Charles Tyhwritt, Addidas, Audi, Toyota and Warburtons.
In 2024, Jimmy released his autobiography and Sunday times best seller ‘Finding the Edge’.
