Bev Turner is the host of LBC Radio’s Saturday evening show at 6pm, where she handles the big news stories of the day. A journalist by trade, Beverley is a regular feature writer for The Daily Mail and The Daily Telegraph as well as having monthly columns in glossies Smallish and City Kids. An experienced Live TV Presenter, she has hosted for ITV (Formula One, NBA Basketball, This Morning), BBC daytime (Homes Live) and Sky One (Taste; Sport & Marriage + Sport & Technology documentaries).
Her radio experience began at BBC Five Live where she hosted Saturday mornings alongside Eammon Holmes and presented The Bump Club, a weekly Spring special following the fortunes of a group of pregnant women.
In 2014 she founded The Blooming Bunch ante-natal course in Chiswick, thereby bringing her wealth of contacts and expertise to couples in West London. This followed more than ten years of campaigning, writing and hosting conferences aimed at improving maternity services. This included, being on a King’s Hospital advisory panel; hosting the Dignity in Childbirth Conference in London (Oct 2013); speaking at The Royal Society of Medicine’s Hypnosis and Childbirth Seminar (2012) and also on Stress in Pregnancy at British Society of Psychosomatic Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Andrology (March 2014). Autumn 2016 will see her speaking at various events at The House of Commons regarding the importance of peri-natal mental health.
For 16 years, she has been a patron of FPA (formerly The Family Planning Association); is an Ambassador for Headway, the Brain Injury Charity and The Child Brain Injury Trust.
An ex-model and former competitive swimmer, Bev was the face of the ASA’s Swimfit campaign in 2013 and alongside husband, James Cracknell has represented brands, Nutriblitzer, BMW and American Express.
Every Summer Bev works as the live presenter of music and motors event, Carfest, alongside Chris Evans and has hosted many award ceremonies including Maxim Fashion, FHM style, F1 Awards, Auto Awards, Access Sport and in 2015 presented The Women of The Year Awards.
Bev wrote critically acclaimed, The Pits, The Real World of F1 (Atlantic Books) in 2004 and in 2011 co-wrote Touching Distance with hubby James, charting his recovery from a near-fatal brain injury.
In Spring 2017, she will release, The Happy Birth Book, Your trusted A-Z of Pregnancy, Birth and The Early weeks (Little, Brown).
She has three children, Croyde, 13, Kiki, 7 and Trixie, 5 and has been married to Cracknell for 14 years.
